Before becoming a landscape designer, I had been a professional sales representative in various industries for approximately 15 years. I’ve worked for many different and diverse firms during that time and have sold men’s clothing, mortgages, and automobiles. Before working as professional sales representative I worked in logistics and inventory management for various firms in Southern California. Landscape design was really something that came along quite by accident and has was really more of a hobby for me during my professional sales career. Since I worked professionally, I put time in on my own personal landscape at home when I could and it became very obvious to me that this was something that I really enjoyed and loved to do.

After leaving the automobile industry, I began taking extensive courses in landscape design and project management from the Professional Career Institute in Norcross, Georgia. I became a Certified Landscape Designer in 2004.

I started David Moorman Landscape Design unofficially in September of 2003 and officially in February 2004. I have been providing consulting services, landscape design and project management throughout Southern California ever since!
